Description

Acacia is the gum that is derived naturally from the acacia tree. It is known in the food and beverage industry as E414 – CAS Number: 9000-01-05. It has been used for decades as a product used for a variety of functions. It belongs to the arabinogalactan family, and is a natural, colorless and odorless additive. It can be found in the Sahel region which runs all the way from the Sudan to Tanzania.

Our company currently provides two types of Gum Arabic – Acacia Senegal (Hashab) and Acacia Seyal (Talha). Acacia Senegal (Hashab) is delivered in kibbled, sifting, mechanical powder, HPS and Kordofan cleaned raw forms. Acacia Seyal (Talha), is delivered in cleaned raw and Silica cleaned raw forms.

Harvest is a UK based company registered and operated by a third generation of business groups who started their activities in 1906. Our company trades in agricultural raw materials supplied from Africa to global markets.

Our group       specializes in raw Gum Arabic supplies and our experts at all levels, including traceability and raw material sourcing.

Our company has its headquarters in Canary Wharf, set up to handle all the export and import activities regarding the supply of Gum Arabic internationally. Our company’s main activity is supplying raw materials to our clients.

Our company is engaged in distributing their products to buyers  internationally, and exports to worldwide leaders in Gum Acacia.

To meet international demand, Harvest currently has the biggest storage and training facilities in Africa, which stocks a variety of Gum Arabic materials. The training plant is 11,500 m2 equipped with most modern technology and special machinery for preparing the gum in different shapes and sizes.
